The Linux AppImage won't start

Make the file executable, and install FUSE 2 if your distribution needs it.

The Linux download is a single AppImage file, and it has to be allowed to run as a program first.

Make it executable

Do either of these:

  • Right-click the file, open Properties, and allow running it as a program.
  • Or run this in a terminal:
chmod +x Mineshire-linux.AppImage

Then double-click the file.

Still won't open?

On some distributions an AppImage refuses to start until FUSE 2 is installed. The package is usually called libfuse2. Install it with your package manager and try again.
